Things are nice here in Paradise Valley today. Supposed to be warm here all week and if it does the caddis will be popping. Hope it doesn't get too warm and blow out the river. I have 7 six month old Pointer pups I am starting right now and they are pointing pigeons very well. I am using launchers and when the dog smells the birds and takes a step I let the bird go. Only took one day of the birds flushing and they started pointing the birds. I also have 23 more dogs that are older. Five are retired, and 18 are trained dogs that I hunt over wuth bird hunting clients. I will be selling 4-5 of the pups in August and keep the ones I like the best. Also plan to sell 4 of the older dogs to make way for the younger dogs. Got plenty of snow in the mountains to keep the rivers flowing throughout the summer. The old timers think we won't be on the river until mid July. I have to guide on the Spring Creeks and on ponds til then so it won't affect my fishing.
