Here's my new boat. Got it on the river a few days ago. Had Nate and Chad from Minnesota. We had slow fishing in the bright sunlight. Then after lunch it got cloudy and the fish started eating Elk Hair Caddis. We had great fishing all the way to Mayors Landing. Very warm when the sun is out 90 degrees or so each day but when the storms roll in it gets cooler. At home I was watching some of my young dogs and how they were coping with a distant lightning storm. I had my hand on the fence and had a bolt strike so close it knocked my hand off of hte fence and I saw a big spark from my hand to the fence. Guess I was lucky it wasn't a closer strike. On the river I have seen clients hair stand on end from the static electricity. We sit low on the bank away from trees. Nowhere else to go. Yesterday took Annie out for her first float in the new boat. She got to row some and fished. She caught her first fish. A 10" Rainbow. Today I am off to do chores and work dogs. Back on the river tomorrow.
