I've had a couple of days off from guiding fishermen so I've been out in the early morning getting puppies ran. We have stumbled upon 2 broods of Blue Grouse, one brood of Ruffs and saw a brood of Huns in the road. Bird numbers are looking real good for this year. I am running pups by themselves and got good points on the Blue Grouse. My last couple of days on the river were ok. Not a ton of fish but what we caught were nice sized ones. The river is getting warm and the last temp I took was 72 degrees. Also we have a forest fire burning up Pine Creek. We need a good cool day of rain.
